ENGINEERING PAIRS WITH INGENUITY “THE PROJECT: PRO2012”
For over 120 years, Kässbohrer has been producing trailers that have pushed the boundaries of engineering. Finely attuned to the needs and expectations, Kässbohrer engineers, are driven to achieve a level of efficiency and reliability to make a real difference for our customers.
In 2012, Kässbohrer dedicated its R&D resources and capabilities to develop the next generation of curtainsider semi-trailer.
We named the project as PRO 2012.
The concept for PRO 2012 developed by Kässbohrer’s engineers taking into accout the latest trends and technology to provide long-lasting transportation solution in the general cargo segment.
To accomplish the task, the complexity of the chassis redefined.
The load security and safety is chosen as the essential building block for the PRO 2012 project. According to defined load security and road safety criteria, the components of the chassis and the upperstructure have been designed and tested to excel in load security. Kaessbohrer’s acclaimed chassis with its new re-design will be basis to configure your semitrailer with the features increasing safety and load security.
Pro 2012 is engineered according to the total cost of ownership principle for sustainability. In the meantime we incorporated modular and lighter frame structure into the design process. We aimed to enable our customers to focus solely on to their operations.
By following up the future trends, the Project team incorporates options with the latest technology into the design process, while working together with our premium business partners. Telematics, Dynamic Ride Height, Roof Safety Airbag, Aerodynamic Side Wings are just a few of the examples.
Through flexibility we want to achieve mass customization in production, efficiently, as indicated by lean principles. As we utilize our R&D capabilities and lean production know-how, we offer our customers all around the world various configurations according to their specific transportation need.
