17 April 2020

Kässbohrer values industry partnerships and proudly supports the initiative #LogistikHilft providing portable sanitary facilities to drivers in Großbeeren and Stuttgart area in Germany. The initiative was announced with a press conference on 16th of April, 2020 #tagderlogistic in Germany by the participation of Federal Minister Andreas Scheuer. The press conference was broadcast live on YouTube and Twitter due to the current situation.

#Logistikhilft is a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), the Federal Association of Road Haulage Logistics and Waste Disposal (BGL), the Logistics Alliance Germany (LAG), the Fraunhofer IML and the non-profit association DocStop / SaniStop. Sponsors of the initiative are Federal Minister Andreas Scheuer and the Federal Government Coordinator for Freight Transport and Logistics, Parliamentary State Secretary Steffen Bilger and OEM manufacturers.

The aim of the initiative is to support all the ones involved in transport and logistics operations, to ensure the supply of goods to society and the economy and to serve fair and appropriate working conditions for truck drivers.

As Coronavirus spreads, the pandemic causes enormous challenges and they became the starting point of #Logistikhilft. Especially now, many truck drivers are particularly dependent on uninterrupted access to sanitary facilities (showers and WCs). This applies in particular at loading and unloading points, in transhipment facilities and logistics centres, at car parks, car parks, and at filling stations and rest areas. In order to make this possible also off the federal motorways and to be able to guarantee appropriate working conditions for the truck drivers, #Logistikhilft has dedicated its first project to this challenge.

Kässbohrer is proud to support #Logistikhilft initiative.
