Kässbohrer brings on innovation and digitalization towards the next 125 years


Even 2020 was an extraordinary year with challenges, leading semi-trailer manufacturer Kässbohrer rapidly adapted to the current situation, continued its operations, digitized its operations, continued its R&D investments and launched 22 new vehicles to the market.

Kässbohrer Resilient in Challenging Times

During the pandemic, Kässbohrer continued its operations and production in its 4 locations without disruption with its resilience and developed new vehicles and reliable services with its innovative character.

After implementing all precautions according to World Health Organisation and Health ministries, Kässbohrer’s vehicle delivery, spare parts business, customer service, breakdown service, sales and other departments continued to work to offer the best service to its customers in more than 55 countries.

“Adhering to Enginuity, research and development and finding new ways of doing business are top priorities of Kässbohrer,” stated Kässbohrer Board Member Ms. İffet Türken.

Kässbohrer’s Adaptative with Digitalisation

Rapidly implementing health measures and ensuring continuity of production and supply chain, Kässbohrer upgraded its customer centric services.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, firstly, we have digitally upgraded our after sales network of 598 service locations. In April, we upgraded our after sales network pages to include the real-time opening hours and status of all our after sales networks for the convenience of planning for our customers’ repair and maintenance,” says Türken.

We have adapted non-sectoral habits to our industry. Increased online communication and e-learning through webinars inspired Kässbohrer K-Talks. In order to maintain communication with its stakeholders during restrictions, Kässbohrer organized a K-Talks webinar series moderated by expert team members in September. During these sessions, the finest examples of our widest product range were presented and new vehicles for the construction range, for the Nordic countries and tipper vehicles for agricultural material were introduced.”

Moreover, Kässbohrer brought the 6 Hall virtual exhibition online to showcase its wide product range. At the online virtual exhibition, Kässbohrer presents 5 product-specific halls, respectively for general cargo range, construction range, dangerous goods range, silo range and launch vehicles that are recently introduced to the sector. Kässbohrer also displays a special hall for Trailer Innovation 2021 winner and nominee vehicles.

“Our virtual fair is still online and viewable through,” explained Ms. Türken.

Kässbohrer Continues To Develop New Products

In addition to the digital improvement, Kässbohrer continued its R&D investments and proudly introduced 22 new vehicles to the sector. 

Among our 22 new products, our general cargo vehicles including our complete intermodal product range showcases load factor and load capacity optimizations as well as the reduced weight with special urban solutions. Our tank and silo vehicles showcase developments for different sectors from food transportation to chemical and petroleum products. Our low-bed range showcases loading and maneuverability optimizations with the addition of Kässbohrer first time suspensions systems. As we design, test, and manufacture for our customers in the EU region, we also specialize in Scandinavian and Russian markets with dimensions capacities larger than EU standards. Our new launch vehicles for these markets build on our years-long expertise of customer satisfaction and will deliver on robustness, safety and efficiencies Kässbohrer customers in these regions deserve.

Kässbohrer Network Continues to Grow

In order to augment customer satisfaction by closer proximity to the sales network , Kässbohrer has opened its head offices in France, Spain and Poland in 2020, and operates with over 9 sales offices respectively in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Russia.

Kässbohrer After-Sales Network Expanded

During 2020, Kässbohrer has been appointed 58 new after-sales points into its wide after-sales network and now offers value-added services from 598 locations.

Kässbohrer is humbled with prestigious awards

Staying true to the motto “Enginuity”, Kässbohrer was proudly awarded with prestigious awards in 2020.

“As the winner of Trailer Innovation 2017 Category “Safety” and Trailer Innovation 2019 Category “Chassis”, this year, we proudly are the winner of Trailer Innovation 2021 category “Component” with our Multifunctional rear underrun protection device RUPD-5K1 and have taken the second place in the category “Body” with first and only 45 ft. Coil Swap Body K.SWAU CC and category “Smart Trailer with K-ADAS, Kässbohrer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. 

As a result, we proudly won this prestigious award in 3 consecutive terms,” explained Ms. Türken proudly.

“Moreover, we have been humbled to receive the Best Logistics Brand 3rd Place award given by Germany’s trade magazine Logistik Heute and German Logistics Association (BVL), which is a sign of our hard work to meet your needs and we are grateful for your discretion,” said Ms. Türken.

“In 2020, we have overcome the challenges together with our valuable employees and stakeholders. Towards the next 125 years, we will continue to develop technically advanced solutions by following mega trends and working closely with our stakeholders to help our customers face future challenges in a confident manner,” stated Ms. Türken.

Kässbohrer Contributed to Covid-19 Solidarity Funds

To grow solidarity around the world, Kässbohrer made contributions to the World Health Organisation’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund and its associated partners.

“As Kässbohrer, we have supported Maecenata Stiftung in Germany, Fondazione Lang Europe Onlus in Italy, Fundación Empresa y Sociedad in Spain that are WHO Solidarity Response Fund partners. In France, we supported Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris-Hôpitaux de France, and in Poland, GOCC Foundation carries independent solidarity activities.

We believe in collective responsibility and action for all our stakeholders and the general public. WHO funds and other independent NGOs has given us the opportunity to extend essential collaboration around Covid-19.” stated Ms. Türken.
