NEW KÄSSBOHRER LOW-BED SERIES

In 1893, when Karl Kässbohrer founded his Wagenfabrik in Ulm, he redefined what trailer engineering could achieve. Staying true to his ethos, Kässbohrer products are used in more than 50 countries and have a broader product line than Mr.Kässbohrer would ever have thought possible.

In accordance with its heritage of innovation over 120 years, Kässbohrer’s dedicated R&D team has developed new extendable low-bed and low-loader series with hydraulic steering, K.SLH and K.SLL to set the new standards in the heavy duty transportation. 

Widespread Participation to Product Launch
On 20 February 2014, Kässbohrer introduced its new low-bed series with hydraulic steering at Kässbohrer’s Goch Facility with the broad participation of the sector stakeholders and Goch administrators, as guests of honor, who respectively are: Goch Deputy Mayor Gabriele Theissen, former Goch Mayor Rudolph Lange, Stadtwerke Goch Marco Marks. Furthermore, heavy duty transportation industry representatives, ESTA General Secretary Wim Richie, BSK General Manager Wolfgang Draaf, and VSL General Secretary Philips participated to Kässbohrer’s product launch event. Hosted by Kässbohrer executive board members Miss İffet Türken and Mr. Fehir Bulutlar, Kässbohrer’s dealers throughout Europe, considerable number of customers and Kässbohrer premium suppliers were also present for the product launch. The organization ended with the parade of Carnival Committee of Asperden. 

Road Ahead: 2018
In accordance with Kässbohrer’s 2018 strategic targets, reaching 20.000 units of production globally, the new Low-bed series are a milestone in regard of sustainable growth strategy. New extendable low-bed series with up to 8 axles and 130 ton capacity and extendable low-loader series up to 4 axles and 96 ton capacity are presenting a strategic product range expansion to claim the leadership in low-bed market by the end of 2016. During the welcoming speech, Goch Deputy-Mayor Gabriele Theissen, emphasized the significance of the event by stating: “It’s an important fact that Kässbohrer has chosen Goch Facility as the event location, which reinforces Kässbohrer’s drive to global manufacturing powerhouse.” Furthermore Miss İffet Türken pointed out during her speech that since the market crash 2008, when the whole industry’s incoming orders dropped by 80%, Kässbohrer succeed to triple its production in the last 3 years and became the forth biggest European trailer manufacturer by the end of 2013. Located in between E-31, part of the United Nations E-road network, and E-35, European route, running from Amsterdam to Rome, Goch has a strategic position at the heart of German Export and Intermodal Logistics.

K.SLH 6 Kässbohrer 6 Axles Hydraulic Steering Low-bed
Kässbohrer’s extendable hydraulic steering 6 axle low-bed semi-trailer, K.SLH 6, with 106 tons transport capacity, is designed for all types of heavy duty transportation. Engineered with hydraulic steering axles and wireless remote control, K.SLH offers maximum maneuverability and flexibility under the toughest road and working conditions. Providing a gooseneck capacity of 34 tons and extendable up to 15.2 meters, K.SLH 6 is developed for the extreme heavy duty transport. 

K.SLL 3 Kässbohrer 3 Axles Low-loader
Kässbohrer’s 3 axles low-loader, K.SLL 3, with a ground clearance height of 400 mm, provides safe transport of heavy haulage goods up to 3.600 mm height. Engineered with a bolted gooseneck, K.SLL 3 shortens loading operations of bulky goods, while enhancing safety with front loading options. Equipped with hydraulic steering axles, K.SLL 3 provides maximum maneuverability during loading and unloading operations, as well as under the toughest road conditions. Extendable up to 5.200 mm, the K.SLL 3 is designed for the safe transport of heavy haulage and abnormal goods.
