Kässbohrer solved more than 30 years persistent problem of tortional issues leading to permanent damage of extendable container chassis vehicles with its patented Innovative Octagonal Central Frame Design consequently winning the Trailer Innovation Award First Place in Category Chassis. 

The award winning patented octagonal central frame allows for excellent extension operations, time and again, eliminating any operational setbacks in form of jamming. The frame design features a more stable construction hence eliminating any damage possibility due to load and road conditions during transport. Rigorous testing for performance assurance by Kässbohrer  

The new generation container chassis range was extensively tested for robustness, safety, cost optimization for minimum 10 years of vehicle life for normal use. The extensive testing includes 400 hours of digital testing for design validation, tortional stiffness test for Ideal robustness, ideal load distribution, ideal operation costs, Bumper test according to R58.3 for eliminating downtime due to bumper damages for all operations as well as Container Lock safety tests to guarantee ISO 1496 and ADR regulations. 

In house as well as road test were performed for 1.000.000 km Dynamic Road Test for load safety and ideal driving performance in short-long curves and Off-road test that simulates 500.000 km road test for Ideal robustness, ideal load distribution, ideal operation costs hence ideal performance for 10 years vehicle life tested to assure the performance of the new generation Octagon-on container chassis vehicles before presenting them to the valued intermodal transport business.

Featuring precisely positioned 5x2, 6x2, 7x2 or 8x2 container locks safety and operational ease are afforded.  

The New generation Octagon-on extendable container chassis range features lighter chassis for more payload, K.SHG AH tare weight 4.680 kg and K.SHG AVH features 4.770 kg tare weight for less fuel consumption on empty journeys as well as more payload capacity.  

The Octagon-on K.SHG AVH features 2 king pin positions allowing for operational efficiency when coupling with   6x2 6x4 trucks.
