Kässbohrer, introduced the lightweight chassis technology

At the conference of the German Car Training Institute (CTI) held 13-14 November 2012 in Wiesbaden Germany. Kässbohrer introduced its new developed light weight chassis technology.

Car Training Institute, established in 2003, brings every year the leading companies in the automotive industry together. It provides the opportunity for discussing the activities, new technologies and innovations of the industry at a common platform, so it ensures the development of the sector. 

The main subjects of the conference held for 9th time were reduction of CO2 emission in commercial, heavy vehicles and semi-trailers, weight reduction of truck and trailer and the impact of aerodynamic concept on fuel saving. The leading European companies attended to the conference, and the lightweight chassis and it’s technology developed by Kässbohrer, that is playing an important role in international trailer sector, attracted great attention. 

At the conference İffet Türken, Member of Board responsible for business development of Kässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke GmbH said “ Kässbohrer is the manufacturer with the largest product range in the trailer sector. As a result of our Research and Development activities we are developing our technology day by day. Dynamically changing consumer needs and the requirements of environmental conditions provide changing and developing of our products, as well. We have added a new one to our successes that we gained during our RD activities. We have ensured increase of fuel saving by more reducing the weight of our products that are being used for very different transport needs. Some of our products in which we are implementing our technology and innovations are the platform semi-trailer, cement silo semi-trailer, and the fuel oil tanker semi-trailer”.
